Anti-PYCR3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 274 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase protein family, PYCR3 is a reported enzyme that catalyzes the last step in proline biosynthesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include P5CR 3, pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase-like, and P5C reductase 3. PYCR3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PYCR3 antibodies listed below. Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
