Anti-JPT1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Jupiter microtubule associated homolog 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 154 amino acid residues and a mass of 16 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the testis, skeletal muscle, thymus, prostate, colon, peripheral blood cells, brain and placenta. It is a member of the JUPITER protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include HN1, HN1A, androgen-regulated protein 2, hematological and neurological expressed 1 protein, and ARM2. JPT1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of JPT1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
