Anti-COPZ1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein COPI coat complex subunit zeta 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 177 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Adaptor complexes small subunit protein family, COPZ1 is known to be involved with intracellular protein transport. Synonyms for this target antigen include COPZ, HSPC181, zeta-COP, zeta1-COP, coatomer subunit zeta-1, and CGI-120. COPZ1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the COPZ1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
