Anti-SRY box 9 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SRY box 9 is a known alias name of the protein SRY-box transcription factor 9, encoded by the SOX9 gene in humans. This 509-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcription factor that plays a key role in chondrocytes differentiation and skeletal development. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated, sumoylated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for SRY box 9 include CMD1, CMPD1, and SRA1. Western Blot is the most common application for the SRY box 9 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
