Anti-TRIM50 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tripartite motif containing 50. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 487 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the TRIM/RBCC protein family, TRIM50 is known to be involved with protein ubiquitination. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and acetylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase TRIM50, tripartite motif-containing 50A, tripartite motif-containing protein 50, and E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM50. TRIM50 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TRIM50 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
