Anti-crystallin beta A2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CRYBA2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 197 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.1 kDa. A member of the Beta/gamma-crystallin protein family, it is known to be involved with eye development. Other names for this target antigen include beta-crystallin A2, eye lens structural protein, and CTRCT42.
