Anti-pleckstrin homology like domain family A member 1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PHLDA1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 401 amino acid residues and a mass of 45 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm. It is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in pancreas. It is suspected to be involved in regulation of apoptosis. Other names for this target antigen include PHRIP, TDAG51, PQ-rich protein, PQR protein, T-cell death-associated gene 51 protein, and DT1P1B11.
