Anti-TIFA inhibitor antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TIFAB gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 161 amino acid residues and a mass of 17.9 kDa. It is reported to inhibit TIFA-mediated TRAF6 activation possibly by inducing a conformational change in TIFA. Other names for this target antigen include TIFA-like protein, TIFA-related protein TIFAB, TRAF-interacting protein with forkhead-associated domain, family member B, and TRAF-interacting protein with FHA domain-containing protein B. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the TIFA inhibitor antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
