Anti-PRICKLE4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein prickle planar cell polarity protein 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 344 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.6 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in a broad range of normal tissues as well as in hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer and prostate cancer tissues. A member of the Prickle / espinas / testin protein family, PRICKLE4 is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization and cardiac tissue development. Synonyms for this target antigen include OBTP, OEBT, TOMM6, prickle-like protein 4, over-expressed breast tumor protein, and C6orf49. PRICKLE4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog and chicken species. Some PRICKLE4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
