Anti-PRAF2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PRA1 domain family member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 178 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the endosome. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and caudate. A member of the PRA1 protein family, PRAF2 is suspected to be involved in ER/Golgi transport and vesicular traffic. Synonyms for this target antigen include Yip6a, PRA1 family protein 2, Jena-Muenchen 4, and JM4. PRAF2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some PRAF2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
