Anti-OR5D16 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily D member 16. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 328 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5D16 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 5D16 and olfactory receptor OR11-154. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR5D16 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
