Anti-MICU3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial calcium uptake family member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 530 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the MICU1 protein family, MICU3 is believed to play a role in mitochondrial calcium uptake. Synonyms for this target antigen include EF hand domain family A2, EF-hand domain family, member A2, EF-hand domain-containing family member A2, mitochondrial uptake family, member 3, and calcium uptake protein 3, mitochondrial. MICU3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MICU3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
