Anti-ALDH3B1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein aldehyde dehydrogenase 3 family member B1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 468 amino acid residues and a mass of 51.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the kidney and lung. A member of the Aldehyde dehydrogenase protein family, ALDH3B1 is known to be involved with the response to oxidative stress and the metabolism of lipids. Synonyms for this target antigen include ALDH7, aldehyde dehydrogenase family 3 member B1, aldehyde dehydrogenase 3B1, aldehyde dehydrogenase 7, and ALDH4. ALDH3B1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of ALDH3B1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
