Anti-CFAP206 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 206. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 622 amino acid residues and a mass of 71.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the bronchus and fallopian tube. A member of the CFAP206 protein family, CFAP206 is known to be important for sperm motility and is involved in the regulation of the beating frequency of motile cilia on the epithelial cells of the respiratory tract (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include UPF0704 protein C6orf165. CFAP206 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CFAP206 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
