Anti-ZMYM2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein zinc finger MYM-type containing 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1377 amino acid residues and a mass of 154.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. ZMYM2 is reported to be involved in negative regulation of transcription. The ZMYM2 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurodevelopmental-craniofacial syndrome with variable renal and cardiac abnormalities. Synonyms for this target antigen include MYM, NECRC, RAMP, SCLL, ZNF198, and FIM. ZMYM2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ZMYM2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
