Anti-PLEKHA5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein pleckstrin homology domain containing A5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1116 amino acid residues and a mass of 127.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 8 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the heart and kidney. Synonyms for this target antigen include PEPP2, pleckstrin homology domain-containing family A member 5, PH domain-containing family A member 5, phosphoinositol 3-phosphate-binding protein-2, and PEPP-2. PLEKHA5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PLEKHA5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
