Anti-TSC22D4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TSC22 domain family member 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 395 amino acid residues and a mass of 41 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the liver. A member of the TSC-22/Dip/Bun protein family, TSC22D4 is known to bind DNA and acts as a transcriptional repressor. Synonyms for this target antigen include TSC22-related-inducible leucine zipper protein 2, tsc-22-like protein THG-1, and TSC22 domain family protein 4. TSC22D4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some TSC22D4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
