Anti-H1-10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein H1.10 linker histone. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 213 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and chromosomes. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. It is a member of the Histone H1/H5 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include H1FX, H1X, histone H1.10, H1 histone family member X, histone H1x, and H1.10. H1-10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
