Anti-AAAT antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target AAAT is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 1 member 5, encoded by the SLC1A5 gene in humans. This 541-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Dicarboxylate/amino acid:cation symporter (DAACS) (TC 2.A.23) protein family. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
