Anti-SMYD4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SET and MYND domain containing 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 804 amino acid residues and a mass of 89.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. A member of the Class V-like SAM-binding methyltransferase protein superfamily, SMYD4 is known to play an important role in cardiac development. Synonyms for this target antigen include SET and MYND domain-containing protein 4. SMYD4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SMYD4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
