Anti-Beta-TG antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Beta-TG antigen is another term for the human protein pro-platelet basic protein, encoded by the PPBP gene. The protein is known to function in the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 128 residues and a mass of 13.9 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein and it is expressed in the bone marrow and placenta. The Beta-TG protein is a member of the Intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) protein family. Other alias names for Beta-TG include B-TG1 and CTAP-III. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Beta-TG antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
