Anti-No55 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the No55 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the P3H4 gene, which encodes prolyl 3-hydroxylase family member 4 (inactive). This protein is reported to be part of a complex composed of PLOD1, P3H3 and P3H4 that catalyzes hydroxylation of lysine residues in collagen alpha chains and is required for normal assembly and cross-linking of collagen fibrils. The human version of No55 has a canonical amino acid length of 437 residues and a protein mass of 50.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells.
