Anti-STMP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target STMP is a known alias name of the protein STEAP2 metalloreductase, encoded by the STEAP2 gene in humans. This 490-amino acid residue protein is a reported metalloreductase that has the ability to reduce both Fe(3+) to Fe(2+) and Cu(2+) to Cu(1+). It is localized to the endosome and cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed at high levels in prostate and at significantly lower levels in the heart, brain, kidney, pancreas, and ovary. Indicated applications for STMP antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
