Anti-TMOD3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tropomodulin 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 352 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Tropomodulin protein family, TMOD3 is known to be involved with muscle contraction. Synonyms for this target antigen include tropomodulin 3 (ubiquitous), ubiquitous tropomodulin, and UTMOD. TMOD3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some Tmod3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
