Anti-GAS2L1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein growth arrest specific 2 like 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 681 amino acid residues and a mass of 72.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the GAS2 protein family, GAS2L1 is reported to be involved in cross-linking of microtubules and microfilaments. Synonyms for this target antigen include GAS2-like protein 1, GAS2-related protein on chromosome 22, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, growth arrest-specific protein 2-like 1, and GAR22. GAS2L1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the GAS2L1 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
