Anti-HEMK1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein HemK methyltransferase family member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 338 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is a member of the Protein N5-glutamine methyltransferase protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include MPRMC, MTQ1, MTRF1L release factor glutamine methyltransferase, HEMK homolog 7kb, m.HsaHemKP, and HEMK. HEMK1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for the HEMK1 antibodies listed below. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
