Anti-C11orf65 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chromosome 11 open reading frame 65. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 313 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. C11orf65 is known to act as a inhibitor of mitochondrial fission. Synonyms for this target antigen include mitochondrial fission factor interactor, uncharacterized protein C11orf65, and protein MFI. C11orf65 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Immunofluorescence is the most common application for the C11orf65 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
