Anti-TMOD2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tropomodulin 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 351 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to have neuronal-tissue specific expression. A member of the Tropomodulin protein family, TMOD2 is known to be involved with nervous system development. Synonyms for this target antigen include NTMOD, neuronal tropomodulin, tropomodulin 2 (neuronal), and N-TMOD. TMOD2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Tmod2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
