Anti-POMT1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein O-mannosyltransferase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 747 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Glycosyltransferase 39 protein family, POMT1 is known to be involved with extracellular matrix organization. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include LGMDR11, MDDGA1, MDDGB1, MDDGC1, RT, and LGMD2K. POMT1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some pomt1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
