Anti-NFIB2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NFIB2 is a known alias name of the protein nuclear factor I B, encoded by the NFIB gene in humans. This 420-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcriptional activator of GFAP, essential for proper brain development. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for NFIB2 include CTF, HMGIC/NFIB, and MACID.
