Anti-NUP205 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein nucleoporin 205. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2012 amino acid residues and a mass of 227.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and membrane. A member of the NUP186/NUP192/NUP205 protein family, NUP205 is reported to play a role in the nuclear pore complex (NPC) assembly and/or maintenance. The NUP205 gene has been associated with the disease, Nephrotic syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include NPHS13, nuclear pore complex protein Nup205, 205 kDa nucleoporin, nucleoporin Nup205, and C7orf14. NUP205 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of NUP205 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
