Anti-ARL6IP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ADP ribosylation factor like GTPase 6 interacting protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 203 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in all hematopoietic cell lineages, but the highest level of expression is found in early myeloid progenitor cells. A member of the ARL6ip protein family, ARL6IP1 is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include ARL6IP, ARMER, SPG61, ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 6-interacting protein 1, and AIP1. ARL6IP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ARL6IP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
