Anti-Sulfide Quinone Reductase-like antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Sulfide Quinone Reductase-like is a known alias name of the protein sulfide quinone oxidoreductase, encoded by the SQOR gene in humans. This 450-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the oxidation of hydrogen sulfide with the help of a quinone, such as ubiquinone-10, giving rise to thiosulfate and ultimately to sulfane (molecular sulfur) atoms. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for Sulfide Quinone Reductase-like include sulfide:quinone oxidoreductase, mitochondrial, sulfide dehydrogenase like, and sulfide quinone reductase-like.
