Anti-UbcH5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target UbcH5 is a known alias name of the protein ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 D1, encoded by the UBE2D1 gene in humans. This 147-amino acid residue protein is known to accept ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for UbcH5 include E2(17)KB1, SFT, and UBC4/5. Indicated applications for UbcH5 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
