Anti-SLC39A3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 39 member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 314 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the ZIP transporter (TC 2.A.5) protein family, SLC39A3 is known to be the transporter for the divalent cation Zn(2+). Synonyms for this target antigen include ZIP3, zinc transporter ZIP3, ZRT/IRT-like protein 3, solute carrier family 39 (zinc transporter), member 3, zinc transporter 3, and ZIP-3. SLC39A3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SLC39A3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
