Anti-P140sra1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target P140sra1 is a known alias name of the protein cytoplasmic FMR1 interacting protein 1, encoded by the CYFIP1 gene in humans. This 1253-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the CYFIP1-EIF4E-FMR1 complex which binds to the mRNA cap and mediates translational repression. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, urinary bladder, and adrenal gland. The term P140SRA-1 is another synonym for P140sra1.
