Anti-ns-LTP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ns-LTP is a known alias name of the protein sterol carrier protein 2, encoded by the SCP2 gene in humans. This 547-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in protein localization to the plasma membrane, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for ns-LTP include NLTP and SCOX. Western Blot is the most common application for the ns-LTP antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
