Anti-TRMT8 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TRMT8 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the METTL1 gene, which encodes methyltransferase 1, tRNA methylguanosine. This protein is reported to be a catalytic component of METTL1-WDR4 methyltransferase complex that mediates the formation of N(7)-methylguanine in a subset of RNA species, such as tRNAs, mRNAs and microRNAs (miRNAs). The human version of TRMT8 has a canonical amino acid length of 276 residues and a protein mass of 31.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. Other names for this target antigen include C12orf1 and TRM8. Indicated applications for TRMT8 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
