Anti-p115 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p115 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the USO1 gene, which encodes USO1 vesicle transport factor. This protein is known to function in Golgi transport and intracellular protein transport, among other biological roles. The human version of p115 has a canonical amino acid length of 962 residues and a protein mass of 107.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane, Golgi, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. p115 is a member of the VDP/USO1/EDE1 protein family.
