Rapid Protein Engineering and Optimization Using the BioLOGIC™ Platform
Codon Devices has developed an integrated system for the rapid design, discovery and optimization of proteins for specific applications. The BioLOGIC™ Engineering Platform combines sophisticated molecular modeling, the BioFAB™ Production Platform for rapid construction of synthetic gene libraries, and advanced assay and protein engineering capabilities. This platform has been used to engineer a novel Type IIs Endonuclease with a long recognition sequence. The fully-functional enzyme was constructed by remodeling two individual enzymes, demonstrating the power and flexibility of this engineered approach to creating useful biological parts. The BioLOGIC™ platform will have broad utility in a wide variety of applications in protein engineering.
