Takara’s pCold TF Vector is an E. coli fusion cold shock expression vector expressing the ribosome-associated chaperone Trigger Factor (TF) as a soluble tag. Cold shock expression allows selective induction of protein synthesis at 15°C, where the synthesis of cellular proteins is suppressed and protease activity is decreased. TF facilitates co-translational folding of newly expressed proteins, increasing the expression of soluble, active protein. The combination of cold shock technology and chaperone expression facilitates highly pure and efficient soluble expression of otherwise intractable proteins.
