Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable enzyme that can withstand prolonged incubation at temperatures up to 95DegreeC without significant loss of activity. The enzyme consists of a single polypeptide with a molecular weight of 94 kDa. It has a 5'Cut Site3' DNA polymerase activity and a 5'Cut Site3' exonuclease activity (Figure 1).
