: Quality control and Validation tools - Most laboratories are subject to increasingly strict regulations, such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), CLIA 88, ISO 9001 or ISO 13485, defined by regulatory authorities like the FDA and the EMEA.

The Tecan Quality Control (QC) software handles all measurements and calculations automatically:
Simply enter the serial number of the QC plate, put the plate into the instrument and the QC plate performs a full check of the device without the need of any liquid handling steps.

Tecan offers three different QC plates for each of its detection device families:
- QC Pac 1 and QC Pac 2 all absorbance readers (Sunrise)
- MultiCheck for all multimode readers (Infinite® Series, Safire²)
- LaserCheck for all microarray scanners (LS Reloaded)
Tecan QC tools highlights are:
- complete check of operational performance of all measurement modes
- up to 100 instrument parameters checked
- no sample preparation or pipetting steps necessary
- fully automated software routine
- passed/Failed output as electronic and hard copy report combining a concise summary together with all detailed measurement results

: Based on Microsoft Excel™ these simple user interfaces provide basic instrument handling:

Features include:
- Full instrument control via Excel allowing the user to set measurement parameters, initiate a plate measurement and display data in Excel spreadsheet.
- The software is intuitive and menu driven from an additional item in the Excel main menu bar.
- The user can choose data to be displayed in a ‘matrix’ format according to the plate definition selected, or as a list in both horizontal or vertical orientations.
- The reading parameters are saved along with the data, plus date and time stamp in the regular *.xls format.
- No data reduction calculations means that the user sees just the raw data as collected by the instrument – data can then be further manipulated via the usual Excel functions.
- In Fluorescence Polarisation measurement mode, the user can select calculation of polarisation, anisotropy and total intensities, plus the intermediate parallel and perpendicular raw data.
- Read parameters can be saved and recalled.
- Control of Tecan Connect stacker system
- Allows wavelength scanning with the Safire Monochrometer Multi-Detection Microplate reader
