Avidin / Streptavidin Conjugates

Conjugated avidin and streptavidin reagents are available from several suppliers for use in biomedical research. Avidin and streptavidin bind biotin molecules with high affinity. Fluorophore-conjugated avidin and streptavidin compounds employ this chemistry to detect biotinylated antibodies and other proteins. As with other fluorescent reagents, note the excitation and emission wavelength ranges when choosing an avidin or streptavidin conjugate.
