Texas Red

Texas Red (sulforhodamine 101 acid chloride) is a red fluorophore commonly used in applications such as immunolabeling, nucleic acid labeling, fluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry. The dye has an absorption wavelength that peaks around 589 nm, and an emission maximum around 615 nm. Apart from labeling antigens, Texas Red is also used in labeling DNA for real-time PCR and sequencing applications.
