Description
The Porsolt “Forced Swim” Test (also known as the behavioral despair test) is the most commonly used test for assessment of depression in animal models. The test is commonly used to measure the effect of antidepressant drugs on behavior. The chanmber is 20cm in diameter, 45cm deep and is well suited for both mice and rats. It is fitted with handles and a center drain for convenient carrying, positioning, emptying and cleaning. A valve allows for easy adjustment of the water level. This maze accomodates top and side camera placement and is engineered to work seamlessly with the ANY-maze behavioral tracking software.
