Description
Antibody Microarrays allow the researcher the convenience of detecting and analyzing hundreds of proteins simultaneously on a single slide; saving time, reagents, and more importantly, reducing the number of variables that influence experimental outcome. Proteins from cell extracts, tissue lysates or treated samples may be used for analysis and detection. Using Antibody Microarrays, one is able to determine qualitative and not quantitative measures of protein expression. Spring's Antibody Microarray platform consists of a set of two slides containing over 700 antibodies printed in triplicate on glass slides, along with a Cy3 based detection system offered. Biotin-Streptavidin acts as a bridge to bring together the flurochrome and the antigen-antibody complex. The combination of the glass sldies and the development of this system allow for very clean results & good signal with low or no background. The high affinity antibodies are well characterized for western blot, immunoprecipitation and immunohistochemistry.
