Description
Composite SV40 enhancer with human Albumin promoter, provided in a pDRIVE plasmid. pDRIVE is a family of expression vectors that feature an expanding collection of human and rodent promoters. Promoters are either native or composite. Native promoters, also called minimal promoters, consist of a single fragment from the 5’ region of a given gene. Composite promoters combine promoter elements of different origins or were generated by assembling a distal enhancer with a minimal promoter of the same origin.
Specifications/Features
Features:
• LacZ gene encodes beta-galactosidase an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of X-Gal, producing a blue precipitate that can be easily visualized under a microscope.
• SV40 pAn: The Simian Virus 40 late polyadenylation signal enables efficient cleavage and polyadenylation reactions resulting in high levels of steady-state mRNA.
Unique restriction sites are present at each end of the promoter allowing convenient excision. The 5’ sites are Sda I, and Spe I. Sda I is compatible with Nsi I and Pst I. Spe I is compatible with Avr II, Nhe I and Xba I. The 3’ restriction site is Nco I which includes the ATG start codon, and is compatible with BspH I and BspLU11 I.
Kit Contents:
Each pDRIVE plasmid is provided as lyophilized transformed E. coli strain. Transformed bacteria are shipped at room temperature. Store at -20°C. Transformed bacteria are stable for at least 1 year when properly stored.
Each pDRIVE is provided with 4 pouches of E. coli Fast-Media® Zeo (2 TB and 2 Agar).
