Description
Preparation of floating thick brain sections for floating immunostaining. Service includes fixation of rat or mouse brains in 10% neutral buffered formalin or 4% paraformeldehyde, cryoprotection in sucrose, embedding in frozen OCT medium, and sectioning in coronal, sagittal, or horizontal orientation at thickness of 20-60 microns. Sections are shipped in cultue plates on dry ice. Investigator select brain region/area, procedures of tissue preparation including fixation, thickness of tissue sections, and quantity of floating sections. We can also process brains for floating sectioning (fixed/unfixed or in blocks) provided by the customers.
