Shimadzu’s GCMS-QP2010s Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer, utilizing many of the high-end features of the GCMS-QP2010 Plus, offers high throughput and excellent productivity, providing users with an excellent performance-to-cost ratio. Like the GCMS-QP2010 Plus, the GCMS-QP2010s features patented constant linear velocity for optimum separation, 20 temperature ramps, and both scan and SIM modes. The SIM mode enables monitoring of up to 64 sets of ions with up to 64 ions per set–potentially determining hundreds of compounds simultaneously. Time-based Scan and SIM modes with 64 changes in each run maximize flexibility and performance. Designed for EI mode only, the QP-2010s features mass stability of 0.15 daltons in 48 hours. It features a number of design innovations, including post quadrupole focusing lenses, redesigned ion optics and front access for easy maintenance. Classical spectrum permits rapid identification of unknowns using commercial libraries, making the GCMS-QP2010s ideal for a variety of high-throughput applications. GCMSsolution software offers the following functions:
• AART (Automatic Adjustment of Retention Time) automatically identifies and quantifies all compounds after a column change without compromise in analysis parameters, ensuring precision and accuracy of target compounds. • FASST (Fast Automated Scan/SIM Technique) enables the GCMS-QP2010 Plus to acquire both Scan and SIM data on one peak.
